There are Five Challenges That Every Small And Solo Business Owner Faces When It Comes To Content Creation For Social Media. I have tried to address these challenges in this article.

We are in an era that content is called the king! And so, we all believe that, from bottom of our hearts, that this king is going to rescue our small businesses during tough business times.
Covid-19 and lockdown has been a fuel for this engine. The engine that drives us towards leveraging social media in our business, before it is too late.
But many small businesses start before being educated. The result is a poor social media activity that leads them to nowhere, wastes their budget and energy, and finally make them hopeless.

This list of five items can help you get better idea of challenges and start wisely:
1-Mindset
Do not think that just an Instagram account and posting a lot of product photos and discount codes. Social media is not a sales tool. Social media is a community building and connection tool. Think of it like a tribe. You should build your tribe before being able to sell to them.
2-Content Planning
None of our work or life routines are done without planning. So, how we can expect that our social media activities could be done without being planned in advance. Plan your content, choose your content pillars, choose your target audience and then start creating content.
3-Consistency
Your social media should support your branding visuals. Your brand personality, color palette, visual filters, etc. People enjoy when reach to a nice and good looking social media page.
Then it comes to publishing content. You need to be consistent in regards of timing and frequency. Design a content calendar and stick to it. Is it daily? Is it weekly? Is it weekdays or weekends? Just stick to a time frame and frequency for your social media posts.
4-Engagement
It is said that Do not post and ghost.
It means that, you should be always ready. Ready to be engaged with your audience. Reply their comments and answer to their direct messages, on-time. Show them that you are not a robot. Show them that they are important to you. Be accessible to them.
Be human when engage with your audiences. Prepare yourself for frequently asked questions. Make your scripts and texts ready, so it will be much easier to reply a lot of comments and DMs.
5-Analytics and Insights
Never drive in a dark foggy road with lights off. Even if you are an experienced driver, you need to turn on your lights to make sure that you are on track.
Analytics and insights give you valuable data about your social media activities. Based on the data, you can have clear idea about the effectiveness of your activities. If a post is getting lower engagement than the other, the data can help you to figure out the reason and then to resolve the issue.
Data can help you invest your time and money effectively on your social media activities.
