Selling online is a goal for many entrepreneurs but complexity of the path is a setback. I have simplified it for you.

I believe that my job as a content creator is to simplify the knowledge of digital marketing and create bite-sized easy to consume and easy-to-understand tutorials.

In this episode, I have simplified one of the most sophisticated online systems: Online Selling or eCommerce systems.

Step 1-Understanding audience pain point

Without having a clear idea about your target audience, you will not be able to create a sustainable online business.

Step 2-Creating products to solve the pain

Now that you have chosen or understood your target audience’s pain points, it is time to create a product or service to help them resolve the pain. Start with a simple product or service.

Step 3-Irresistible free offer

Offers are the heart of an e-commerce system. Sometimes we call them hooks. These are valuable pieces of content in a variety of formats, like eBooks, that you give away in exchange for the name and email of your prospect.

Step 4-Landing page to the offer

You need an attractive and convincing landing page to show your offer to your prospects and ask for their name and email in a simple form.

Step 5-Email follow-up system

Without an eMail marketing platform, never expect success in the e-commerce world. You need to create a series of follow-ups that will trigger whenever someone fills the form and downloads your free offer.

Step 6-A sales page

Sales pages are designed to sell, as their names say. The content of a sales page has just one mission: to convince your audience to pay and buy your product or service.

Step 7-System to collect payments

Many e-commerce projects fail because the process of payment is not easy and clear. There are many reasons that your audience may not buy from you and one of the important reasons is the lack of an easy, simple, and secured payment system.

Step 8-Traffic to the landing page

Now your system is created. All components are ready. It is time to tell the world that they can come and place orders. Try to draw attention and attract traffic to your landing page.

As you see, the steps of creating an online selling system are clear. No matter what is your product or service, all of the mentioned steps are required and they are very similar on different platforms. The only thing that I can add here is to keep everything simple.

Complexity is the enemy of your success in online selling.

Good luck.
